My Top 3 Winter Lipsticks

No matter how you are feeling, putting on a bit of lippy will instantly make you feel better and today's post focuses on my favourite winter lip colours. I love lipsticks - I much prefer them to lipglosses to be honest -  but although I love make-up, I don't actually own that many lipsticks, probably only around 10 (that may be a lot to some people though!).

For winter, like many girls, I prefer to wear a dark lip and Rimmel Kate 107 is the perfect one! If you haven't already heard of this lipstick on a blog or a beauty YouTube channel then where have you been?! I first saw this lipstick on Zoella's channel and blog where she was talking about her monthly favourites (maybe around a year or so ago) and I instantly feel in love with it. Its a beautiful deep berry toned purple. Its long-wearing and very pigmented and is a perfect colour for the colder months.

Next is a a lippy for Topshop. This was the first ever purchase I made for Topshop's beauty collection (I know?) and I can say, although this is the only lipstick I have from Topshop, I know that I would love all of their lipsticks (Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of their nail polishes though) so I trip to Topshop in the January sales in definitely happening! This a lovely red shade and is very pigmented. With Christmas in just 3 days!!, I will probably be wearing this a lot over the next week or so!

Lasting is a new favourite that I purchasing just this week. Its Maybelline Color Sensational in Hollywood Red. I went into Superdrug for a new face wash and ended up walking out with some false eyelashes, a mascara, this lipstick and yep, you guessed it - no face wash! Hollywood Red is a actually not very red toned despite being called 'Hollywood Red'. I would say its a very light berry toned pink and I absolutely adore the colour when its applied. Its very moisturizing and is long-wearing.

What are your favourite lipsticks for the winter season?

NOTW: Black Plum Glitter

Jumper: Primark
Barry M Nightshade and Barry M Rockstar
We are officially in single digits for the number of days until Christmas; 9 days! Yes, NINE! How fast has this year gone! So what better way to celebrate that Christmas is just over a week away then with a glitter nail look. I have to admit that I am not really a glitter nail polish fan. I find it really difficult to apply and not to mention, a pain to take off of nails but as it is Christmas I do like to add a bit of a sparkle to my nails and as a huge fan of Barry M, I picked up this glitter nail polish in Rockstar a few weeks back. It was surprisingly really easy to apply and I added it over the top of another new nail polish I have bought from Barry M; Nightshade.
I really love this nail look and it will most definitely be gracing my nails over the festive season.

Have you got a favourite nail look you will be wearing over the festive season?

Good Things 5-Minute Facial Mask

Blogging hasn't been going very well for the month of December for me has it?! I have been very busy in the last few weeks so I apologise for the lack of posts! I have really wanted to do some outfit posts but with the lack of time combined with daylight being fairly non-existent past about 3pm, it has been difficult but I am aiming to do some very soon!

Today's post is about a skincare product I have been loving over the past few weeks and its a face mask which I featured 2 weeks ago - in my November faves post! Its one that I picked up on a spontaneous shopping trip at the beginning of November in TK Maxx (which I think is the British version of TJ Maxx but correct me if I'm wrong!). Its a mask which I use once to twice a week or just when my skin needs a pick-me-up which has been very regular lately as its been breaking out really bad but I have just been taking extra care of it and making sure to take my make-up off before bed (or just when I get home from being out or just skipping make-up altogether - which is not something I mind if I'm having a good skin day but not a very nice feeling when you have acne and breakouts), just trying to drink more water (which is not a chore for me as I actually prefer water to juices or squashes) and trying to eat better - which is difficult enough especially around Christmas time ha! Hopefully at least trying to do these things will help my skin though!. Enough rambling and back to the face mask...

Its scent is avocado and goji berry and let me tell you - its smells lovely! The consistency is pretty light and its a five minute mask so once applied all over the skin it sets in a few minutes and then you can wipe it off using a wet flannel or towel and its leaves the skin feeling soft and not tight or greasy. It also doesn't irritate the skin so I would say it was pretty good for anyone with sensitive skin (although don't hold me to this!) I have tried a few other masks before but I can say that this one is my favourite as its smells nice, its quick and easy to apply and is not irritable on the skin!

Whats your favourite face mask or skincare products through the colder months?

The Christmas Tag!

Its almost Christmas! I am so excited, I love the festive season! With only 22 DAYS until the big day, I thought I would do a christmassy style post today and what better than The Christmas Tag! I found a few different questions on different blogs so I have just mixed a few questions that I liked for each and am answering them! Hope you enjoy!

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie?

I have so many but my favourite would have to be The Polar Express! I watch it every Christmas Eve with my family! I am really shocked when people say they haven't seen or even heard of this film! Its so cute and really festive! If you havent seen it, then I really recommend it! I know you will love it! My other favourites include Disney's A Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone and of course Elf!

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

Yes I have! I think it was about 5/6 years ago though! I love snow and pray that it will snow on Christmas Day every year as it would be amazing but it never does! It always seems to snow in January instead!

3. Where do you usually spend Christmas?

With my family at my family home in the morning and afternoon then we spend the evening at my aunt and uncles house for food, fun and music!

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?

I have loads! I love listening to Christmas music! My faves though are Merry Christmas Everybody by Shakin' Stevens, I wish it could be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard and Merry Christmas by Slade and of course Do they know its Christmas by Band Aid!

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

We may open one but we open most from my Mum and Dad on Christmas Day morning and when we visit my aunt and uncles in the evening we get the ones from them and my Nan then :)

6. Can you name all of Santa's Reindeer?

Rudolf, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Cupid... No!

7. What holidays traditions are you most looking forward to this year?

Going to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park! I went last year with my mum, dad and my sister and loved it! Its so pretty and really christmassy! We also take a walk through Oxford Street and Regent Street to look at the Christmas lights!

8. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/treat?

Does a roast dinner count? My Mum cooks one for us on Christmas Day, yum! As for a treat, I have to say a box of Celebrations or Heroes! We all dig into a tin over Christmas Eve, Christnas Day and Boxing Day!

9. Do you like mince pies?

Oh yes, love them! I had my first one in September this year!

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving them better?

I love both! I love going out shopping to buy everyone's presents and look forward to giving them to them but I love to get them too.

11. What would be your dream favourite place to visit over the festive season?

New York!!

12. What are your favourite holiday colours?

Red and Gold! Very traditional.

13. Are you a pro at present wrapping or do you fail miserably?

I am actually pretty good at wrapping, I wouldn't say amazing but I don't fail at it!

I loved this tag and I tag anyone who is reading this post to do it! Let me know if you have a go at it by letting me know in the comments below or by tweeting me @laurenmwelch :) I'd love to read your answers!

November Favourites

Long time no blog! November has been a really busy month for me - I finally got a job after months of applying and although its only as a part-time christmas temp, I'm really enjoying it! - so I've had very little time to post but here I'm back today with a new blog post - my monthly favourites for the month of November! Enjoy!

I have been loving so much this month and have looked forward to showing you what I've been loving! Everything is beauty and skincare related and some things are new and others are products I have started using again.

Products I've Been Loving:
Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara
Tangle Teezer
Zoella Beauty Soap Opera Bath Soak and Shower Cream
MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette
Yes To Tomatoes Daily Clarifying Cleanser
Good Things Five Minute Avocado and Goji Berry Facial Face Mask
Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Rio Rush
Rimmel Stay Matte in Ivory

Firstly is the Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara. I bought this mascara over a year ago and then over the summer I started using Barry M's Lash Vegas but in the last few weeks I have been loving this one as I feel it gives my lashes a natural longer look and doesn't clog them. I also love Maybelline's Falsies but this one is my personal favourite. Next up is my Tangle Teezer. I love this! I mainly use this when my hair is wet but I also like to pack it in my bag for when I'm out and about. A definite beauty must-have!

Next up is a product from Zoella's beauty line - the Soap Opera Bath Soak and Shower Cream. I picked this up at the end of last month and have been using it every day since I bought it. It has a sweet floral-like girly scent and is my favourite bath product at the moment. I have even added the body mist from her collection to my Christmas list! I don't really tend to wear eyeshadow on a day-to-day basis but this month I have been loving the MUA Heaven and Earth Palette. The palette is a gorgeous selection of brown and nude colours which a mixture matte and shimmery shade - perfect for the Autumn and Winter months. I really love MUA palettes as they are super pigmented and long lasting and of course - a really affordable price (I think this palette was £4.00! - what a bargain!).

My skin in the past few months - Since around Late September - has been anything but clear and acne free and on twitter - laurenmwelch if you want to follow! - earlier this month I asked (using the hashtag #bbloggers) if anyone had any recommedations of any good high street skincare products for acne prone oily/combination skin and someone suggested the Yes to Tomatoes range so on my next shopping trip, I picked up the Daily Clarifying Cleanser. I have been using this for the past two weeks and although my skin is still not very clear, I definitely feel an improvement in the appearance of my skin. Another skincare product I have been using is the Good Things Five Minute Facial Face Mask. I picked this up earlier this month and although I have only used it twice, It left my skin feeling soft and clean and I really like it and looking forward to using it more in the upcoming months.

I love lip products and am always on the look out for new ones to try out and this month I have been loving Revlon's Colorstay Moisture Stain in Rio Rush. Its a beautiful bright pink and is a mixture between a lip stain and a lipgloss, although its not as sticky as a lipgloss when worn and is very long lasting. Its a beautiful colour and I know that I will get used out of it even in the warmer months.

Lasting, is a product that I have come back to over the last month - Rimmel's Stay Matte Foundation. I am a huge lover of Rimmel foundations as I also really love Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation. I have decided that I really love to wear this foundation through the colder months more than the warmer months as its a lighter shade for when I haven't got a tan on my face. Its a great consistency and has very good coverage.

What products have you been loving this month?

Taylor Swift 1989 Album | Review

A slightly different post from me today, exciting! I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift and when I heard she was releasing a new album, of course I had to buy it! Today I thought I would do a review of her new album and I have been playing it none stop - whether its at home listening to the CD or on my Iphone when I'm out and about!

It is, of course, a slight music style change for Taylor as her usual style is more country/pop but I really love this album as much as I do her other albums! I have to be honest, when she released 'Shake it off' a few months ago, I wasn't really sure if I liked it and was skeptical about the new album - but after I listened to it a few times, I found myself humming and singing it even when I wasn't listening to it as its such a catchy song and I love the album too!

I bought the normal version of the album but there is also a deluxe version available with three extra songs as well as a few demos and obviously there are 13 songs on the normal version as its Taylor's favorite number and her birthday date!

I think the album cover is great and the title - 1989 - is very personal to Taylor, herself, as its her birth year. As with a lot of people who have bought her album, I really love the little sleeve with the Polaroids as its a personal and unique touch and that seems to very fitting with the whole album as the cover is a Polaroid photo of Taylor and a line in her song 'Out of the Woods' refers to a polaroid photo; '...you took a Polaroid of us...'.

My favourite songs on the album - aside from 'Shake it off' (which you can listen to below) - include Welcome to New York, Style and Blank Space! Although 'I Know Places' and 'How You Get The Girl' are also great catchy songs too!

Overall, I think its a really catchy album and although is different to Taylor's usual music style - it is still very similar due to the deep personal lyrics in every songs. Definitely one of my favourite albums I have bought this year!

Do you like 1989? What are your favourite songs on the album?

Topshop Lipstick | Rio Rio

It feels like I haven't posted on here for ages but it's only been a week since my last post! Anyway, today I'm back with another post about a beauty product I have been loving lately and its a Topshop lipstick in Rio Rio! This is the first ever purchase from the makeup collection in Topshop - I know, I know where have I been? - I just have never really been interested in buying anything beauty related as its a clothing store and in all honesty thought it wouldn't be that good but was I wrong - I love this lipstick!

I really wanted another red lipstick - but one that had orange undertones - and when I saw a review on this lipstick recently I thought I would take a leap and buy one from everyone's fave - Topshop! I have been wearing this non stop since I bought it just two weeks ago and it is definitely one of my favourite lipstick and will getting a lot of wear over the upcoming months - especially over christmas!

So, what do I like about it?
- Its super hydrating - some lipsticks can be very drying but I find this one very moisturing and doesnt make my lips feel dry at all.
- It long wearing - It lasts hours and you wont have to keep reapplying throughout the day!
- Its very pigmented - as you can see from my photos it is very pigmented!
- Wearable for both day and night.

What I don't like about it?
- My only critique is the price. I dont know if its just me but I think the reason I haven't purchased anything sooner from Topshop makeup collection is because I feel that they are slightly overpriced - especially for a clothing store makeup collection BUT I do like it and think it is very good quality!

Do you have any favourite lipsticks from Topshop or any other product from the makeup collection at Topshop?

My Top 5 Autumn/Winter Nail Colours

L-R: Chilli, Cappuccino, Cardamom, Rimmel's Your Majesty and Indigo

I love to paint my nails all year round but in the colder months of the year, like many people, I tend to be drawn to darker colours and todays post is focused on my favourite nail colours for the Autumn and Winter seasons. Four out of five of them are Barry M - Yep this gal loves a Barry M nail polish in case you didn't you know already! - but you can probably find similar shades in other brands.

Barry M Gelly - Chilli
Chilli is a beautiful brown toned red colour and is from Barry M Autumn Gelly collection. This colour has graced my nails so much over the past few weeks and will definitely be doing so over the next few months too! I love it!

Barry M - Cappuccino
This a gorgeous taupe brown shade and is my equivalent of a nude shade for the warmer months. Its a nail colour that would go with any outfit. Its such a sophisticated colour and will work well with any skin tone. Looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this colour.

Barry M Gelly - Cardamom
Cardamom is a beautiful medium green shade. Its from the original Barry M nail paint collection and although I have only worn this colour once since I bought it about two months - I know it will get a lot of use in the next few months! Perfect Autumnal Green!

Rimmel - Your Majesty
I have had this colour for years (maybe about 2?) - I can't even remember buying it! I know you are meant to throw away nail polishes (like any make-up or beauty items) after about a year but this colour is still wearable and still of good consistency so why throw it away? Its a shimmery silver and will be perfect for the Christmas period! Love it!

Barry M - Indigo
Finally a bright colour for Autumn! This is a deep blue shade with slight purple undertones. Its super shiny and like all Barry M polishes its a great consistency. I haven't worn this one yet this Autumn but I am looking forward to wearing it on my nails over the next few months. A great shade to bright up an outfit!

What are your favourite nail colours right now?

Zoella Beauty Range | Soap Opera

It is the time of the month where I would usually write a monthly favourites post but this month I haven't really had any new favourites throughout October so I thought instead I would write a post on something from Zoella's new beauty range (It was released in Superdrug stores and online at superdrug.com and feelunique.com last month) - the soap opera bath soak and shower cream!

I only picked it up yesterday but have already used it twice and can say that I really love it! It has a lovely fresh fragrance to it and with just a small amount added to running water, it makes loads of bubbles (as you can see from my photos!). It also leaves your skin feeling super soft. I really want to buy the perfume soon too but unfortunately it was sold out when I was shopping yesterday - but hey what can you expect with Zoe having over 6 million subscribers! I really adore the packaging of the whole range too! It completely sums Zoe up with her logo printed on each item and is super cute and girly with the pastel colour theme throughout the range.

Other products in the range include a body lotion, bath fizzers, a body mist, a candle and there is also two super cute make-ups (an eye aqua green one and a pink guinea pig one!). All can be bought for just under £50.

It is a great collection and its so lovely to see all the blogging and YouTube community come together when Zoe announced the range earlier this year. I can only see the future getting even more brighter for Zoe especially with the release of her first book in a few weeks (cant wait to get that too!) It is so great to see someone who I have been watching on YouTube for the past three years grow and have as much success as she has! She is a true inspiration to all young people and I wish her the best of luck for the future!

Have you brought anything from Zoella Beauty?

Simple Chocolate Brownie Recipe

Today I made some chocolate brownies and thought that it would be a good idea for a blog post aside from the regular beauty and fashion posts. They smell absolutely incredible and taste even better! Its a fairly simple recipe to follow.

Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes (depending on the size of the baking tray; the smaller the tray, the longer they may need)

Ingredients:
130g Plain Flour
175g Unsalted Butter
325g Caster Sugar
3 Eggs
200g Dark Chocolate (broken into pieces)

Extra Equipment:
Baking Tray
Mixing Bowl
Wooden Spoon
Measuring Scales

Optional:
Icing Sugar to Decorate (Dusting)
Chocolate Chips

Method:

1. Pre-heat the oven to 170 degrees or gas mark 6.

2. Grease and line your baking tray with parchment paper.

3. Put the chocolate and butter into a heatproof bowl and place into a microwave until its smooth and melted. (This can also be done in a saucepan on the heat if you prefer).

4. Add the melted chocolate and butter to your mixing bowl and add in the caster sugar and stir well. Then add the flour.

5. Crack the eggs and add one at a time to the mixture (I like to crack them into a cup or jug before adding them to the mixture but you can crack them straight into the bowl if you prefer).

6. Make sure the mixture is thick, smooth and glossy. Add in the chocolate chips (optional).

7. Spoon the mixture into the baking tray and cook in the oven until flakey on top but still soft in the centre - cook for about 25-30 minutes (may be a little longer if your baking tray is small as the brownies will be thicker).

8. Take the brownies out of the oven and leave them to cool completely. Dust with icing sugar (optional) and cut into squares! Then enjoy!

Happy Baking!

Wishlist: Autumn Day Outfit

Jumper / H&M
Monochrome Loafer Shoes / New Look
Bag / H&M
Essie Nail Polish / Licorice
Jamie Jeans / Topshop

Who doesn't love to wear a cosy jumper for a chilly Autumn day? This one is from H&M and I really like that its not your typical style jumper as its slightly cropped. Also how lovely is the cherry red colour? Jeans are obviously a must-have for any wardrobe and these black Jamie jeans from Topshop are perfect and the ripped knee add to the casual daytime look.

These loafer shoes has been on top of my wishlist for a looong time! I love this style of shoe as I think they are a must-have statement to any look. I want them! How nice is this fringed bag from H&M? I had a fringe bag a few years ago and used it to death! I have always loved the fringed bag look and think this one would be perfect for the Autumn and Winter seasons. Love!

Lastly, as a nail polish addict, I had to add one to this post. I think black nails look great for this time of year and I love this one by Essie - Licorice! Also how cute are the names of the essie nail polishes - I love them!

My Favourite Autumn Blush

For someone who loves make-up, my make-up collection pretty much stays the same all year round but one thing in my collection that does change is my blush. My favourite blush for Spring/Summer is Rose Gold by Sleek (in the face form contouring and blush palette) but by the time September rolls around and the colder weather is upon us I also end up wearing this one - Pomegranate, also by Sleek.

I absolutely love sleek blushes - great quality, a bargain price and super pigmented! I first heard about the brand, Sleek, last year after Zoella spoke about it one of her haul videos and since then I have loved both this blush and the contouring and blush palette and although I haven't brought anything else from the brand, if the quality is anything like these two products then I would love them!

Pomegranate is a beautiful dark deep plum shade and I think its just a perfect shade for this time of the year. I apply it to the apple of my cheeks using my all-time favourite blush brush by Real Techniques and as it really pigmented, I always have be careful not to put too much on.

Have you tried anything by Sleek? What is your favourite blush?

Autumn Makeup Look | Berry Lips

I love a classic berry lip in Autumn so today's post is a pretty Autumn inspired make-up look using my all-time favourite berry lipstick; Rimmel Kate 107 - every bloggers fave! I applied the lipstick using a small eyeliner brush (I don't wear eyeliner as I don't think it suits me but the brush works well to apply lipstick!) I'm no make-up artist but here is my post on the classic Autumn look!

What I Used:
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Sleek Face Form Blush and Contouring Palette in Light, Avon Glimmerstick Brow Definer in Dark Brown, MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Palette, Barry M Lash Vegas Mascara, and of course Rimmel Kate 107!

My Top 10 Beauty Products Tag

I love reading tag posts so today I thought I would do the 'My Top 10 Beauty Products' Tag! The products I have featured include everything from my all-time favourite foundation to my favourite Autumnal lip colour! Although I have many beauty products that I enjoy using, these products are my go-to products. Hope you enjoy!

Foundation
I have a few favourite base products but Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation is always my go-to one and always the one I go back to if my skin is not feeling its best as its lightweight, beautifully blends and has a great amount of coverage. I totally love this product and my skin certainly does too!

Concealer
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Warm Medium (shade 3). I have been using this for a long while now and can still say its my favourite as I've tried nothing that comes close it. It is great at covering blemishes and redness without looking cakey. I have been wanting to try out the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer but as its a little on the pricey side, I think I will stick to this great budget one! Love this stuff!

Powder
My skin tends to get very oily in the t-zone so anything to help and cover that is great in my eyes. Rimmel's Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder In Transparent works wonders on my skin and is very lightweight. It works really nicely with my favourite foundation and concealer too!

Blush, Bronzer AND Highlighter!
Yep you read that correctly, I've put all these three into one paragraph and that's because I love the Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette! I bought this a few months ago after seeing the hype on many blog posts and I'm glad I gave it to the hype. The bronzer is a perfect shade that is not too orange and is perfect for contouring (which I don't tend to do everyday) or if you just want a healthy glowing looking skin. The blush is in the shade 'Rose Gold' and is a beautiful rosy gold colour which is perfect for the summer and winter months. The highligher adds a lovely simmer to the apple of my cheeks which adds to the glowing skin effect. Love love love this palette!

Mascara
I love Maybelline's Falsies Mascara! After seeing Tanya Burr talk about this product and how much she loved it on a lot of her YouTube make-up tutorials, I went and bought it and I can honestly say its my favourite mascara. I have also been loving Barry M's Lash Vegas but I think this just wins for me as its great at giving the false eyelash effect which the false eyelashes! Win Win!

Eyeshadow
I was on the lookout for a great eyeshadow palette and what a bargain this one is! Great set of colours, Great quality and a fantastic price too! Although I don't tend to wear eyeshadow everyday or barely at all in the summer months, I'm looking forward to using this a lot more in Autumn and Winter months!

Eyebrows
I love Avon's Glimmerstick Brow Definer in Dark Brown. Lucky for me, I don't need to really fill in my eyebrows that much but I do use this often enough to know that I love it! Its a great match for my brows and is easy to apply. Love!

Lip Product
When I think of Autumn, I think dark lips and my all-time favourite lip colour has to be Rimmel Kate 107! I think everyone loves this as I've seen so many Bloggers and YouTubers raving about it! Its the perfect Autumn lip colour - a dark deep purpley red -  and is very moisturizing! Perfect!

I really loved writing out this tag and tag anyone who reads this post to do it! A collection of my holy grail products.

Loreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water

You may notice (or not) that my last post is missing - My September Favourites - as I accidently deleted it as my computer is playing up, waah :( But I'm back with another post today and I'm talking about a product I have been loving over the past month and was featured in my favourites post. Enough with the ramble, onto the actual post..

Today my post is focusing on a fairly hyped product and a product I gave in and bought after reading about it on many blogs, yes its the Loreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water. It is used to remove make-up and smooth and purify skin. It is mainly used in the evenings, hence to remove make-up but can also be used in the mornings to remove any make-up left over from the day before, before completing your usual skin routine. I tend to apply a small to medium amount to a cotton wool pad and then apply to pad onto my face. Although it says to 'no need to rinse or rub', It does take a bit of rubbing to get rid of make-up but as it dissolves even waterproof mascara brilliantly, so it does get a thumbs up from me!

It doesn't irritate my skin as it contains no alcohol or perfume so its perfect for anyone who has sensitive skin. I used to use Simple Facial Wipes (what I have used since I started wearing make-up at sixteen) but this is what I use all the time now to remove my make-up. Great addition to my skincare routine!

The Autumn Tag

I haven't done a tag post on my blog yet and I saw this tag on a blog (can't remember who's blog though sorry) and copied the questions into my notes on my phone and as I love Autumn, I thought why not do 'The Autumn Tag' so here goes...

1. Whats your favourite seasonal drink? (Starbucks, Costa, Cafe Nero etc)
Last year I really loved the honeycomb hot chocolate from Costa, yum! I'm not really a fan of hot drinks (I don't drink tea or coffee) but I really love hot chocolate and honeycomb! mmmmm!

2. Accessories - what do you opt for? Scarf, gloves, boots?
I love dressing for the Autumn season! I love wearing scarves and my favourite one is a red tartan scarf that my sister brought me for Christmas last year! I also love my black Chelsea boots that I got from Ebay last year, I think they were around £10 too, such a bargain!

3. What is your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I don't really have particular music I listen to during Autumn but this year I will definitely be listening to The Vamps album, 'Meet The Vamps' on repeat as I'm seeing them in concert in October! I cant wait!!

4. Perfume - What is your favourite scent for this time of year?
I have a few favourite perfumes that I love but none are very autumnal! One of my favourites though is Vera Wang's Princess!

5. Candles - What scents will you be burning this season?
As soon as it starts to get cooler, I love cinnamon scented candles! They just remind me of this time of year and I think the cinnamon scent is very appropriate for Autumn (and Winter!)

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
I love Autumn! I love the days when its sunny but there is a crisp chill in the air. I love getting wrapped up in layers and of course The X Factor has started which means its almost Christmas!!

7. Favourite Make-up Looks?
I love bold dark lips! I love Rimmel Kate's lipstick in 107! Also a dark smoky eye is always great for a night out!

8. What are you most looking forward to in Autumn?
Halloween! and of course The Vamps Concert next month!!

I tag all of you reading my post and let me know if you do it too, I'd love to read your answers. Also the photo I have used is not mine, I found it on Google so the credit goes to the owner!

Hello Autumn!

Autumn is here so that means out with the summer shorts and dresses and in with winter coats, tights and of course dark nails! Last weekend, when I was shopping with my mum, I went into Boots and was of course drawn over to the make-up counters where there was a 2-for-1 deal on Barry M cosmetics so I had to take advantage and buy some of their nail polishes as obviously I don't have enough of them...

Instead of picking up their gorgeous bright summery nail polishes, I decided to purchase some of their new winter nail colours and picked up a lovely deep green shade called 'Cardamom'.  and this beautiful deep red one called 'Chilli'. I really love deep dark nail colours for the Autumn and Winter months so these two are perfect for me! Also as the leaves are starting to fall, I decided to pick up some from outside my house and add them into the photos to give them a nice Autumn touch!

Are you excited for Autumn/Winter? What nail colours are going to be gracing your nails for the next few months?

Fresh White Nails

Autumn officially begins on the 23rd - so next week! - and as much as I'm looking forward to all the things that come with the later part of the year.. Halloween on October 31st, Fireworks in November and of course Christmas in December!, I want to make the most of the sunshine that has graced London for the past few days! What better way than with fresh white nails! I don't know about you, but I love them! I agree they can be slightly risky and can end up looking a bit tacky and like tipex but for Summer, I think the risk is worth taking as they work really well!

My favourite white nail polish is, yep you guessed it! Barry M! (my favourite nail polish brand which I think I've mentioned a few times...) This one is from their normal nail collection and is called 'Matt White'.

What do you think of fresh white nails?

September Sunshine | Floral Shorts

With Autumn just a few days away, you would think the summer sunshine would be long gone but oh no! Today, in London, the sun shined and it has been very warm for the middle of September. To celebrate the sunshine, I made the most of my summer wardrobe and decided to wear some summer floral flared shorts which I brought from Matalan probably something like three years ago and paired them with my black crop top from Topshop which I love! To complete my look I added my cute black laced pumps which I brought from Primark at the beginning of the year!

WHAT I WORE:

Floral Shorts \ Matalan
Crop Top \ Topshop
Laced Pumps \ Primark

I really love doing outfit style posts so I will definitely try to do them more often throughout Autumn and Winter! Hope you are all having a lovely Friday and all have a great weekend!

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub

Who doesn't love Lush products? I know I do! I went shopping to Westfield with my sister last week and went into Lush as I knew I wanted a lip scrub as I've heard great reviews about them and since we had a pretty warm summer, my lips had started to get dry despite regularly applying lip balm or vaseline! I tried out all three of the lip scrub scents by smelling them (as you do in Lush!) and I decided to buy the popcorn scent - there is a bubblegum one and a mint one too.

The popcorn one is a sweet scent and smells very much like caramel butter. I have been using it once a day for the past week and definitely feel my lips are feeling more normal and not so chapped and dry. It is very effective at exfoliating my lips yet it is very gentle and all natural. The sugar used in the lip scrub is edible.

One negative point, I have is the price. I think I paid £5.99 for this one and feel that it was a bit much to pay for a lip scrub so I may try and make my own next time but I do love the Lush one though! Although it is quite a big pot so I think it will last a while.

Have you got a favorite Lush product?

Monthly Favourites | August

Its the time of the month where bloggers post a collection of things - beauty products, fashion items or random faves - that they have been loving through the month! So here are some things I have been loving through the 31 days of August..

Sleek Face Form in Light - A blush, Bronzer and Highlighter in one! I bought this earlier in the year after reading countless good reviews on it and like many other people who read blogs, I gave into the hype! I purchased the shade 'light' and it is perfect for my skin tone. I love it!

Sleek Blush in Pomegranate - I bought this blush late last year (after seeing reviews obviously!) and thought it was the perfect plum colour blush for Autumn/Winter but ended up still using it through the Spring and Summer months too! It is super pigmented and long lasting - love love love sleek blushes!

Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick in Beige Democrachic (26) - I am a fan of lipsticks rather than lipglosses but still love that glossy finish of a lipgloss. This Bourjois lipstick is the perfect mix of the two! It is a beautiful glossy pinky nude shade that is perfect for summer but also for that transition into Autumn/Winter.

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Huckleberry - A beautiful pastel blue - my favourite nail colour of the summer! If you love pastel nail shades as much as I do, you will love it!

Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm in Vanilla Glow - Through the summer months, I tend to wear slightly less foundation so this has been amazing for me. Personally I don't think think it has brilliant coverage but it is definitely is long lasting.

and I also have a random favourite.. a film!

The Fault in Our Stars - Who hasn't see this film! I saw this film at the cinema at the end of July with my sister and cousin and although it is very sad :( I absolutely loved it! Brilliant acting and amazing cinematography (the former media and film student in me!) I still haven't read the book yet so I'm looking forward to reading it although I've see the film! If you haven't seen this film yet - I definitely recommend it!
